Newest Club Aircraft
The Ballarat Aero Club's most recent acquisition is a Tecnam Bravo. It is a high wing Tecnam, related to our low wing Tecnam Sierra that has proved very popular with students and licenced pilots alike. Duty Pilots Needed
One of the more enjoyable tasks at the Ballarat Aero Club is acting as the Duty Pilot on a Saturday or Sunday. The Duty Pilot's role is to facilitate the smooth running of the office and hangar over the weekends, with the added bonus of meeting visitors from Ballarat, and from all over Australia. The Club shows it's appreciation to the Duty Pilots by crediting their Club account with a small amount for their day's work. After looking at many places around Melbourne to learn to fly, I instantly decided on the Ballarat Aero Club. It has a very warm and welcoming feel and the instructors actually care! I’ts not just a “sausage factory” for students. I would highly recommend the Club for anyone with an interest in flying.

Ballarat Aero Club is where I learnt to fly and I have been a member for many years. The facilities are great, the aircraft are excellent and there is both RA and GA training. The Club has a friendly atmosphere and most importantly, has outstanding instructors.
