General Aviation Training

Whether for business, pleasure or eventually for a career, flying is a fascinating and rewarding pastime. A Private Pilot Licence will allow you to fly aeroplanes anywhere in Australia and, if you wish, your passengers can share the cost of the flight with you. On the 30th April we started the Basic Aeronautical Knowledge course with a class of about 10 people.

This course will finish in August, after which the Private Pilot Licence  course will commence.  The emphasis of this course will be on Navigation, Meteorology and other subjects that are not dealt with in much detail in the BAK Course such as Human Factors (including Threat and Error Management).

The course will be run on an evening that suits most people (possibly Thursday evenings) starting at 6:30 pm to 9:30pm over a period of about 15 weeks.

If you find self study a drag (who doesn’t), and would like to join friends in a class setting then contact the CFI at the Aero Club to register your interest.

Total cost of the course is $450. (About $87 extra for the Tait PPL Study Guide text book.)
Special offer: For those who have previously passed their PPL but are feeling very rusty, why not join us and brush up again. The cost for you is only $120 for the whole course or less for just one subject,  (Assuming space available)
